FAR seeks to support Arts Council England and other regional and national bodies in maximising their impact in this sector. It also lobbies the religious institutions at all levels for serious engagement with the visual arts .
Our aim is to articulate:
- the importance of the relationship between religion and the visual arts
- the possibilities for dialogue between different faiths via engagement with the visual arts
- a high level of theological and cultural understanding implicit in an engagement between religion and the visual arts
